Was a bit windy at the signal station so group headed south towards Truganini track.
Pat’s notes:
Sunny blue sky-day, cool breeze. The panoramic view over Hobart from the Mt N Café was a great place to consider the geology of the Hobart region, and we were able to visually link together all the individual sites we had previously visited. To do nature-journalling we decided to seek shelter behind the café, in a BBQ location near the top of the Truganini Track. There the raucous call of the many currawongs dominated the soundscape – probably their attempt to ward us out of their territory. Some of us focused our journalling on the trees and vegetation in the area; whilst others focused on the dolerite rocks and nicely recaptured some of the geological terms they were coming to grips with.
