Observations:
After passing in front of the Sailing Club and heading away from the beach, we reached the sandstone rock platform. Perfect spot for catching some early winter morning sun.
An ex-quarry, a boat tethering point, a gulch and a fireplace in the rocks were some of the things we found. In the fireplace there was the remains of several small crayfish. At the time assumed this was a cookup but have since wondered if maybe a rakali’s dinner leftovers.
There were also a lot of round “divot” marks in the weathered rock platform rather in the pattern of a chesterfield sofa and occasional blasts of red.
Tesselated pattern of iron seams running through the sandstone.
Casuarinas drooping from above.
Watched the gentle sea swell, and interrogated the various marks on the platforms and the low cliffs.
